Spring brings fresh greens and long daylight for hiking through the nature reserves nearby, while summer offers perfect lake days on Idfjärden and Öjen. Autumn paints the forests in warm colors—ideal for quieter walks and fishing—and winter transforms everything into a snowy wonderland, with skiing just 45 minutes away. Each season invites you to slow down and reconnect with the forest and water that surround this peaceful retreat.
We’re so pleased that we were able to stay in Pontus’ lovely cottage at such short notice. Everything went very quickly and smoothly, and Pontus was incredibly friendly, helpful and easy to get in touch with. We really felt welcome from the very first moment. The cottage is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the peace and quiet and natural surroundings just outside Malung. The surroundings are beautiful and there’s plenty of wildlife, which makes the area extra special. There are really lovely opportunities here to explore nature and perhaps spot both large and small wild animals along the way. We only stayed for a short time this time round, but would happily have stayed longer. It feels like the perfect place for anyone wanting to get away from it all, enjoy the peace and quiet, and explore the forests and countryside around Malung. A big thank you to Pontus for the very warm welcome, the friendly interaction and for making everything so easy and hassle-free for us. We were pleasantly surprised. Spacious and comfortable rooms; the flat is even more welcoming than the advert suggests. The little terrace is a real gem: perfect for breakfast or an aperitif. Another definite highlight is the location: the flat is very well connected to Venice and it’s easy to get to the bus, which gets you into the city in no time at all. Check-in and all communications were precise and punctual. Lucia and Maddalena are two friendly and helpful hosts: as they live in the city and know the area very well, they’re able to give useful advice on transport links, places of interest and activities to choose from depending on your needs, as well as suggesting excellent spots for aperitifs, dinners and tasting local specialities. Even our Labrador, Holly, was made to feel very welcome. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfortable accommodation close to Venice, complete with spot-on advice😍
Lucia and her daughter Maddalena are lovely, courteous and helpful hosts. When we contacted them, they replied straight away. The flat is splendid: beautifully renovated, fully equipped, tastefully furnished and with perfect air conditioning. It’s on the top floor, has a lovely little terrace and is very light and airy. The reserved parking space in the block’s courtyard is extremely handy. It’s in a lovely area, with easy access to shops and restaurants and, above all, excellent public transport links: it takes less than half an hour to get to Venice from the moment you leave the house! This makes it the ideal base for exploring Venice and also for heading to the Lido. We had a wonderful time and hope to return!
This was a wonderful stay. The hostess was very friendly, welcoming, and communicative. During check-in, she gave us plenty of useful information about the apartment, as well as how to get to Venice by bus, with the bus stop conveniently located nearby. The apartment is situated in a residence with private parking, which was very convenient. Everything was extremely clean, and having air conditioning was a huge plus and absolutely essential during the summer. We also really enjoyed the terrace, which was perfect for having breakfast or relaxing in the evening with a nice bottle of Prosecco. The hostess also kindly left us some Venetian biscuits, which was a lovely touch. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Thank you very much for everything!

We really enjoyed staying in Pontus’ lovely house, set amidst the stunning Swedish countryside. It was a wonderful experience. The house is well-equipped and has everything you need. The host responds straight away when you contact him, and just outside there are endless opportunities within walking distance to pick berries and mushrooms, go fishing, hiking and cycling, and much more.
A really lovely location, close to the lake, a large garden, and very friendly neighbours. Excellent communication with the host. We highly recommend it.

I stayed in this flat in Mestre and had a really lovely time. The spaces were perfect – comfortable and laid out in a very practical way. I think it’s ideal for both short and longer stays. The cleanliness was impeccable: every little detail had been taken care of, and the flat immediately gave off a pleasant sense of tidiness and comfort. The location: another major highlight – very convenient for getting to Venice and well-connected by public transport, yet at the same time quiet and practical for all your needs. A special thank you also goes to the host, Licia, who was always extremely helpful, kind and polite. She made my stay even more enjoyable with her thoughtfulness and warmth. I would absolutely recommend this flat to anyone wanting to stay in Mestre in total comfort and peace of mind!

We were able to rent the cabin for a weekend to be close to the Vasaloppet, and the cabin was perfect. Check-in was smooth and check-out was easy. It was a real treat to arrive to made-up beds.
A lovely stay, though it got off to a bit of a bumpy start. You can tell this is the first winter the house has been let out. Unfortunately, the house was almost unbearably cold when we arrived. With an outside temperature of -22 degrees, the central heating wasn’t able to heat the place properly at first and ran at full blast for almost the entire rest of our stay – but with a fire burning constantly in the fireplace as well, it did eventually become really cosy and warm. We hadn’t been given any information about the wood for the stove at the start either, so we unfortunately had to set off again in the snow chaos. Both of these things combined made for a somewhat unpleasant start, which would have been easier with a bit more experience in letting out the property. In the end, though, we felt very much at home during our three days there. The whole house is furnished in a really stylish way, although the kitchen and bathroom are still in the old style. You just have to bear in mind that cleaning is only included by prior arrangement – which is perfectly fine in itself, but we only really understood this and were told about it once we were there.

A wonderful place to stay, highly recommended! It was spacious and the decor was very harmonious. The cottage was already warm when we arrived, and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed to cook. Check-in and check-out were super easy. Close to the village, yet in a secluded location. We would love to come back in the future!🌞
A lovely house in beautiful surroundings. Wonderfully peaceful and a comfortable bed, which had already been made up. It felt like a real treat for us. Pontus gave us a tip for a walk in the area, which we really appreciated. It was a lovely walk, and the route there was lovely too.

A really lovely place to stay. Very tastefully and cosily furnished. You’ll want for nothing. The only thing that bothered us was that, in the photos, it looks as though the house stands on its own. However, it’s actually in a housing estate, and whilst there’s a wood to one side of the house, there’s another house right next to it on the other side. Otherwise, it’s absolutely lovely, and Pontus is really friendly and helpful.

A lovely, peaceful and relaxing stay in unspoilt countryside. The host was always responsive and resolved any issues straight away. He helped us enjoy a wonderful, relaxing holiday with our young child, for whom the cottage was a brilliant place to stay. We felt right at home and the atmosphere in the cottage was lovely and cosy! We’ll definitely be visiting the host and his cottage again in the future!
