Leksands kyrka

The onion-domed church of Leksand stands where Österdalälven meets Siljan — worth the stop for the setting alone. Free to visit, and the walk along the river down to the church is lovely. Combine with Hildasholm next door.

If you can, time your visit with one of the summer evening concerts — the acoustics under the onion dome are wonderful. The riverside path from the centre of Leksand takes about fifteen minutes and is far prettier than the road.
