Cross-Country Skiing

Located just a short walk from central Malung, Sportfältet is a popular starting point for cross-country skiing, especially during the winter months. The area features two maintained tracks: a short 0.8 km loop and a slightly longer 2.1 km trail. Both are relatively flat and well-suited for beginners, children, or those looking for a quick training session close to town.

The trails are groomed during the season and provide opportunities for both classic and skate skiing. The short length and central location make Sportfältet especially attractive for evening laps or casual workouts during the day.

Lighting is available on the trail, allowing skiing even after dark, and the open layout makes it a safe and visible environment. While simple in layout, the Sportfältet trails are a cherished part of Malung's winter sport offering.
